Cross slide

 

1. Attach the wheels to the cross slide plate

First, make 12 wheels, by combining a wheel shell with 2 bearings and a shim:

And attach 4 wheels to the top holes, with M5 30mm screws and 6mm spacers. At the other side of the cross slide plate, use shims and M5 lock nuts:

And use 3 wheels for the lower holes, with M5 30mm screws and 6mm eccentric spacers. At the other side of the cross slide plate, use shims and M5 lock nuts:

2. Attach the Z axis wheels

At the other side, do the same with 2 wheels with 6mm spacers:

And 3 wheels with 6mm eccentric spacers:

3. Attach the leadscrew nut block

Use M5 30mm screws with shims and M5 lock nuts:

4. Attach the motor and housing

Use M3 12mm screws to attach the motor and the housing:

And add a pulley on the motor then

5. Attach the cable carrier

Attach the 80mm cable carrier with M5 16mm screws, shims and M5 lock nuts and slide the cross slide onto the main beam:

6. Feed and secure the belt

Then also feed the belt over the pulley, and secure it at the ends like you did for the tracks
