different drag chain ends to x carve

First we will attach the drag chains – we take the situation where they are positioned at the left side, but if you prefer to have them at the right side, then that is possible as well of course:

Use a an M5 8mm flat head screw to attach a drag chain mount to the T slot nut that you put in the drag chain rail earlier:

And use a post assembly T nut to slide in the 2020 rails at the side to attach the drag chain bracket – do this at the side of the gantry plate that has the drag chain bracket:

Use an M5 6mm short button head or flat head screw to attach the bracket in the post assembly T nut:

And use M5 flat or button head screws of 10mm or longer (depending on what is supplied in the drag chain kit), together with M5 nylon insert nuts to attach the other drag chain brackets:

And then open the drag chain with a flat screwdriver (be careful when applying pressure, you can hurt yourself):

And attach the open drag chains to the top drag chain brackets (not yet to the low ones:

And attach the cables to the motors and put them inside the drag chains:

The cable with the green connector is for motor on the x carriage:

The cable with the black connector is for the Z axis motor:

The cable with the orange connector is for the motor at the gantry side plate:

The cable with the blue connector is for the other motor at the gantry side plate:

then again same as x carve instructions

Put in all the cables in the drag chains and also do not forget the spindle cable!

You can start closing the top drag chain (unless if you want to install the optional limit switches or Z probe), and then attach it to the mount on the drag chain rail:

The cable with the orange connector does not go into the top drag chain, instead you can attach it to the drag chain rail, and then they come all together (together with the cables from the top drag chain) to go into the second drag chain (where all the cables will go in):

You can close this second drag chain  as well – it has all the cables (also if you want to install the optional limit switches or Z probe), and then attach it to the lower drag chain bracket:
